On July 26, 2024, the "Endoscopic Artistry - Online Sharing Conference on Spinal Endoscopy Technology (Session 4)" was successfully held, hosted by the Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital and co-organized by the Shipaide College. The conference was chaired by Professor Jiang Yue from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital, with Professor Yu Bin serving as the executive chair. Professor Chu Lei from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University was specially invited to share his lecture. Many experts and scholars from across the country gathered to exchange the latest research results and clinical experiences in spinal endoscopy technology, providing strong support for the further development and application of this technology.
"Endoscopic Artistry" is a series of academic activities jointly created by Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital and Shipaide College, focusing on the application of spinal endoscopy technology. With the continuous development of medical technology, spinal endoscopy has been widely used in the field of spinal surgery as a minimally invasive treatment method. This technology has advantages such as minimal trauma, quick recovery, and fewer complications, which is of great significance for improving patients' quality of life and reducing medical costs.

He warmly introduced the experts giving lectures this time, including Professor Chu Lei from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Professor Zhao Weibiao from Liaoning Jin Qiu Hospital, Professor Yuan Huafeng from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shenyang Medical College, Professor Zhan Chuan from the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, and Professor Zhang Zhe from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital. The conference also invited Professor Wang Shuang from the Northern Theater General Hospital, Professor Zhou Huihui from Benxi General Hospital, and Professor Chen Baojun from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital to share exciting case studies. The continued hosting of the Endoscopic Artistry series of activities is thanks to the support of all the experts and colleagues, and finally, Professor Jiang Yue was warmly invited to give the opening speech.

Professor Jiang Yue from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital delivered the opening speech for this conference. The "Endoscopic Artistry - Online Sharing Conference on Spinal Endoscopy Technology" has reached its fourth session, and he thanked the experts from both inside and outside the province for their continued support. This session invited many well-known experts in the field of spinal minimally invasive surgery to give lectures, share research results, and exchange academic experiences. He believes that this session will definitely achieve positive academic effects. He hopes to learn from many fellow physicians, engage in discussions, and make progress together to benefit more patients.

Professor Yu Bin from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital demonstrated the dual-channel decompression surgery based on spinal endoscopy online. The case was diagnosed as L5S1 lumbar disc herniation with radiculopathy. During the dual-channel surgery using spinal endoscopy, the operation was completed in less than an hour, achieving nerve root release and calcified tissue processing. Professor Yu stated that the dual-channel surgery based on spinal endoscopy not only has the advantage of quickly processing bony tissue using an external ring saw but also uses the Donghong Zhiyuan hollow drill that perfectly fits the size of the spinal endoscope. The ring saw protective sleeve effectively protects soft tissue, allowing for safe and efficient processing of bony tissue under visualization. At the same time, the dual-channel surgery can use open surgical instruments, making the use of instruments more flexible. The operation channel and observation channel can be switched at any time according to needs. The surgical operation is flexible and efficient, significantly shortening the surgical time, which has great advantages for handling stenosis cases.

Conference summary.
Professor Yu Bin from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital summarized the conference. He first thanked all the participating guests for their carefully prepared presentations and thanked Shipaide College for providing the communication platform. Professor Yu mentioned that the development of spinal endoscopy technology is rapid, evolving from the initial small-channel spinal endoscopy to the LUSTA large-channel spinal endoscopy, and then to the unilateral dual-channel technology. The indications for spinal endoscopy have expanded from simple decompression to areas such as spinal canal stenosis, fusion, and tumors, with an increasingly broad application scope. The domestic brand Donghong Zhiyuan has a full spinal endoscopy system suitable for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae, a UBE unilateral dual-channel system, and a series of tools to assist doctors in performing minimally invasive spinal surgeries. He hopes to discuss the application of spinal endoscopy technology with more colleagues in the future, learning and progressing together.
The successful convening of this conference helps strengthen academic exchanges among experts in the field of spinal minimally invasive surgery and promotes the vigorous development of minimally invasive spinal surgery. The original intention of the Endoscopic Artistry series of activities is to provide a platform for communication and interaction, facilitating experts to gather together to discuss the development of the orthopedic industry, explore the relationship between heaven and man, understand the changes of ancient and modern times, gather the strengths of various schools, and create a collective voice. Participants with shared aspirations gather here to discuss academics, develop together, and create a future.
